Hannah and James Wedding at Porthilly Farm, Rock, Cornwall

We are super excited to have been asked to trade at a wedding just a stone’s throw away from our pop-up spot in Padstow. Hannah and James will be getting married on this day and have requested our coffee and cakes on their special day. We are looking forward to it already, especially as there will be lots of other Landies there!

August and September

We’ve had a busy July this summer. We’ve been busy every weekend pretty much.

This has eased off a bit for August, but it should be all hands on deck for us at our lovely little spot in Padstow on the Camel Trail.

Cancer Research Muddy Run fundraising day at the Life Centre in Plymouth

Despite the challenging and very wet weather, we had a brilliant day serving coffee, cake and other refreshments at Cancer Research Muddy Run event in Plymouth just next door to Plymouth Argyle football stadium. With over two thousand participants and more a huge number of committed spectators, there were a lot of coffees to be made, particularly so with the weather as everyone was cold and wet. The atmosphere was marvellous however and we donated £30 into the charity pot for Cancer Research.

IntoTri Tavistock Triathlon

We were fortunate enough to have been invited to trade at all the IntoTri triathlons this spring and summer. The Tavistock IntoTri was a belter with ideal weather albeit hot, but luckily with a breeze to cool down the athletes. Athletes participating in the adult IntoTri were checking in very early at around 6am, so we had to get there early to be set-up in time. All went well from our side and I clearly remember selling out of everything except for coffee. Top sellers were lemon drizzle followed swiftly but brownies, cookies and all our soft drinks.

Merlin Country Fayre in Sticker, St.Austall

At the start of July, we were thrilled to have been invited to serve our barista coffee and homemade cakes at the Merlin Country Fayre near St.Austell. It was a fabulous event packed with local artisans. The weather was challenging on the Saturday with sideways rain but luckily our awning came to the rescue. It was super busy on the Sunday and were thrilled to have met so many nice and friendly people. I just wish I had a bit more free time to check out the vintage cars and old tractors!

Charity Touch Rugby Tournament at St.Ives Rugby Club

At the start of July, we were thrilled to be invited to serve our barista speciality coffee at St.Ives rugby club. The weather started off patchy but turned out lovely and sunny in the afternoon. The atmosphere and occasion was brilliant and we enjoyed the friendly community vibe of a new area for us, which is St.Ives. Our coffee suppliers, Foundation Roasters, were kind enough to refer us to the organisers of this charity fund-raising event so we were super grateful to them too. We donated £20 to the club before we left.
