Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do private hire?

Yes we do! Although we do have a daily pop-up in Padstow, we take on all manner of private hire events, from weddings to birthdays and corporate events.

What’s the furthest you’d travel for an event?

We don’t have any super strict rules when it comes to this question but generally speaking, we wouldn’t travel longer than an hour and a half in the car. In the Landy, that’s about a 50 mile radius that we’d cover from our base in Newquay. Although we do allow for exceptions in certain circumstances.

What coffee do you use?

We stay clear from the stuff that’s really dark, smells a bit funky and has probably been sitting on a warehouse shelf for months on end. We like freshly roasted and locally sourced coffee, and more medium roasted than dark-roasted. We currently buy coffee from Foundation Roasters who roast their amazing coffee from their industrial unit just outside of St.Ives. We stick with coffee roasters in Cornwall to support local independents.

Do you do hot food as well?

I’d love to say we also did bacon sarnies as well, but I’d be lying through my teeth. For now, we’re just coffee and cake. Maybe one day, at certain events we’ll be banging out the breakfast baps, but we’re taking everything in our stride for now and sticking to what we know best, which is of course coffee.

Do you do cold drinks too?

Oh yes, and nice ones as well. We currently serve Karma drinks and water by Can O Water.

Do you offer a private hire service?

We sure do. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday party or a bit of a well-earned treat for your staff, we’re more than happy to offer a private hire service. You can pre-pay for a set number of coffee and cake beforehand, so your guests can relax and enjoy their coffee without having to mess around with payment.

Do you serve cakes as well?

We certainly do! We usually bake our own cakes or if it’s a particularly large event, we’d source some handmade cakes from a pretty darn decent bakery based in the South West.
